At BCC there is always something to do, whether it is helping to serve the tea and coffee at the end of the services, assisting with setting up, singing or playing an
instrument as part of the Music Ministry group, welcoming people at the door... the list goes on!
If you believe that God has equipped you with the gift of hospitality, abilities in cooking meals, computers, reading out loud or anything that might have a constructive use then we are sure that there is an area at BCC in which you can serve.

The ministries outlined below are those which, as a church, we are committed to providing for the benefit of our congregation and for our local community.
Support Groups
We regard our support groups as vital for growth and encouragement.
Presently, we have two local Community Groups, one in the nearby village of Lanivet and one in Bodmin. Our other support groups include:
Men's Early Morning Fellowship - designed to build up and empower men to live for Christ and this takes place at the local Dragon Leisure Centre.
Prayer Triplets - enable fellowship and prayer in small groups and are a great way to get to know others on a more personal basis.
The Fiction Fellowship - a small group of women who are passionate about reading and really enjoy a good book. They choose from a variety of Christian fiction and biography and read titles together on a monthly basis. They then meet for fellowship, copious amount of cakes and goodies and to discuss thoughts on the book they are reading. You can currently follow this group on The Fiction Fellowship blog.
T2:4 - a brand new bible study group for women based on the principles of Titus 2:4. It meets at 26 Tanwood View on Friday mornings for fellowship and teaching. The autumn term will focus on the subject of relationships. This relaxed gathering will be starting at 9-10am for breakfast, 10-11am prayer & share, 11-12 Bible study. Join in at any part or come for the whole morning. Children welcome. You can view an autumn programme for this group here.

Teaching includes the Preaching of God's Word, our dedicated Children's Ministry which takes place during the Sunday service, and the Bodmin Community Church website.
Preaching from the Bible enables us to hear collectively what God has communicated to us and encourages us to apply those teachings to our daily lives. Sermons at BCC are shared between the Associate Pastor and experienced seasoned preachers capable of helping others to understand the Scriptures.
The Children's Ministry caters for children from ages 4 to 11. All adult teachers are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and dedicated to providing good Bible based education in fun ways!
Our current Child Protection Policy has been produced to cater for the Grace Family of churches to which Bodmin Community Church belongs.
The church's website enables online users with access to the internet to take advantage of the many free resources that are available. In addition, the website includes an extranet for the benefit of those members who are actively engaged in ministry.

At BCC we are not afraid
of trying new things to publish the good news of Jesus Christ. Currently, one of our foremost ways of connecting with children, for example, is through our 'LOL' (Lord of Lords) Puppet Team. Other ways we seek
to influence our community is through seasonal outreach events that take place in Bodmin Town.
Our Puppet Team are given regular opportunities to visit our local primary schools and prove very popular with the children. Singing well known songs with what we would regard as 'better lyrics' enables us to convey to the younger generation the benefits of a loving relationship with Jesus.
Our outreach strategy often takes advantage of the various historical traditions that Bodmin is accustomed to holding each year. St Piran's Day, Heritage Day and the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights on Mount Folly are great events for us to get to meet lots of people - either in the street or over drinks that we serve free of charge from the Bodmin Community Rooms on the Folly.
